Atlantic Wharf Residents’ Association (AWRA) was formed in 1985 with the aim to improve the area’s environment and represent the local community through building relationships with residents, community groups and charities, businesses, and local and national authorities. ‘We’re currently speaking up for residents on issues that affect the life of our community, things such as planning and development, traffic and parking, street lighting, the built and natural environment, community safety, litter, and graffiti. AWRA works for and with the community of Atlantic Wharf, Cardiff. We operate entirely on a voluntary basis with many thanks to the generosity of its residents and partners. We thank all our supporters for their on-going support. Our aims To consult and represent the views and concerns of local residents on matters affecting the Atlantic Wharf. To hold regular meetings and communicate regularly with local residents to encourage and promote a sense of community spirit. To work with local authorities and Welsh Government to improve the lives of residents who live, work and enjoy our area. Over the next few years we would like to see our community develop and thrive, in particular we want: Atlantic Wharf to be a safe, healthy and secure place to live, work and enjoy. To see our built and natural environment preserved and improved. To see all future development and facilities in the area are appropriate and benefit all existing and new residents.’
