Calon Hearts

Calon Hearts UK is a registered charity and Wales’s leading community heart screening organisation. We deliver free heart screening for young people aged 15½ to 26, place defibrillators in communities across Wales, and provide free CPR training. Over our lifetime we have screened more than 35,000 hearts, placed over 37,000 defibrillators and trained more than 600,000 people in CPR. We work across the third sector in Wales through partnerships with the Welsh Rugby Union, the Football Association of Wales and Sport Wales, and alongside other voluntary organisations, health boards, schools, colleges, sports clubs and community groups who host and promote our screening days. We are a small charity, delivered by five staff, a freelance clinical team and a volunteer base of 37 people.
