Canton Community Gardens

Set up in July 2009 by local resident Michael Goode and Canton Councillor Cerys Furlong, Canton Community Gardens aim is to encourage participation by local residents in a range of events and projects in the Canton area, with a focus on gardening, sustainability, recycling and environmental issues. The garden outside Chapter is now well established with volunteers coming along to help out weekly, it aims to show local residents and visitors to chapter what can be done in a relatively small amount of space hopefully in turn encouraging them to grow their own produce. It also acts as a social point as many passers-by stop to discuss their own gardening efforts.
