Advocacy and Capacity Development Association

Our Organisation Advocacy & Capacity Development Association, is a newly established Organisation with aim of addressing diverse needs of the Somali Community, and needy communities of Cardiff, especially the black and ethnic minorities residing in Wales. We offer opportunities to participate as Volunteers, decision makers or as services users’ representatives.

We work with people in a manner that meets their needs in a person-centred way. We engage with people online and in-person, in a range of community languages.

Our Services:

• Money management and Debt Advice and support
• Tackling Fuel poverty
• Access to food Banks and Food pantries
• Referrals to Mental health support and Counselling – for individuals, families, and groups
• Housing and Homelessness Prevention, Advice and Support
• Benefits claims maximisations and Benefit Take-up
• Job Club to help minority community members to get the job they deserve.
• Capacity Development support and Guidance to community Individuals and Community Organisations
