RCMA Social Enterprise (riverside Real Food)

Riverside Community Market Association (RCMA) is a social enterprise which aims to help make Cardiff a Sustainable Food City. We run farmers’ markets in Cardiff, and deliver a wide range of activities which aim to improve knowledge about, and access to, a healthy sustainable diet in Cardiff’s deprived communities.

Examples of RCMA’s outreach and education programme include: a Community Allotment which enables local residents to grow their own food and enjoy the social and recreational benefits of gardening; a local food outreach and education programme with links to local schools and community organisations; and was responsible for setting up the Riverside Market Garden which grows organic produce to sell locally, and delivers training in sustainable horticulture. RCMA is a partner in the recently launched Cardiff Food Charter.
