Rookwood Sound Hospital Broadcasting

Rookwood Sound has been filling the airwaves with music and pleasure, entertaining patients, visitors and staff at the University Hospital Llandough for 37 Years.

We have progressed a great deal since those early years and Rookwood Sound is now a Health and Wellbeing radio station that can be heard on DAB+ across South Wales as well as the internet.

However we still retain our Hospital grassroots. Staying in hospital can be a very lonely time for patients. Hospital radio has proved to be beneficial, lifting patients’ moods and aiding recovery.
