Sport in Mind is a mental health charity dedicated to supporting people through the power of sport and physical activity. It was founded in Reading in 2011 and has since expanded across the UK.
We run a variety of free, group-based sporting sessions designed for all abilities over the age of 17, such as yoga, football, badminton, and more. All the sessions we run are open-access and do not require a referral.
They are designed to support a range of mental health needs, including feelings of isolation and loneliness. They run weekly throughout the year, including during school holidays. Each session lasts for one hour and typically takes place during the day.
