Our purpose is to tackle social isolation and build community cohesion within our local rural Cardiff neighborhood. We create warm, inclusive, and accessible spaces where diverse residents can come together to learn new skills, share experiences, and support one another. By offering community-led workshops, active projects, and social gatherings, we break down local social barriers and improve emotional wellbeing. Everything we do is driven and shaped by our local volunteers and local residents, ensuring our projects directly answer local needs and turn a neighbourhood of strangers into a resilient support network.
Cardiff Council recently awarded us a small Food Festival grant acknowledging this cross-border support. The Trinity actively rescues massive volumes of premium retail surplus daily from Cardiff-based partners—including Waitrose, Tesco Extra, Superstore and Express stores, local Co-ops, Bookers and Makro Wholesalers, Lidl, Aldi and award-winning independent producers like Alex Gooch. We distribute this food directly to vulnerable residents and service users inside the Cardiff boundary, specifically across St Fagans, Fairwater, Pentrebane and Creigiau.
