This newly established Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) has been developed by, for and with Unpaid carers in Wales. Founding members Mike O’Brien and Bobbie-Jo are committed to putting the views, concerns, and aspirations of Welsh Unpaid Carers at the heart of everything the organisation does and aspires towards.
VOICES ADFOCAD will work towards the advancement of human rights by raising awareness of the roles and rights of Welsh Unpaid Carers – young and old, from all walks of life, abilities, and backgrounds to ensure that the unique voice of the individual is listened to, heard, and actively included in all relevant matters – from grassroots to policy-making levels and back again.
By advocating the VOICE of Unpaid Carers at local, regional and national levels via meetings across all sectors, and with government officials, academics and Unpaid Carers, VOICES ADFOCAD aims to promote and engage in meaningful opportunities to co-produce services, policy and implementation models.
